Nominations for the 2010 Business Excellence Awards kick off with the launch on Thursday 1 July at 10am at the Ergon Energy Building.

If you are interested in attending the launch of the 2010 Business Excellence Awards, contact Capricorn Tourism & Economic Development to RSVP.

The Business Excellence Tool (BET), developed by Performance People, will again be used as part of the submission process. Information regarding the BET is available from Performance People.

Information sessions about the submission process will be held in Rockhampton and Yeppoon for those businesses that are interested in entering this year’s Awards.

The winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner at the Capricorn Resort Yeppoon on Friday 1 October.

Premier of Queensland's Export Awards

For the first time, the 2010 Business Excellence Awards will be incorporating the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards.

The two Trade Award categories are:

Nominations for these two categories can be made online at the Trade Queensland website until Friday 23 July 2010.

Businesses that nominate for the Export Awards are also eligible to enter the other Business Excellence Awards categories. Submissions for the Business Excellence Awards categories close Friday 10 September 2010.

New Aspects For 2010

Kennas “Destined for Greatness” Mentoring Opportunities are continuing for this year’s awards, with recipients selected from the New, Small, Medium and Innovative categories.

The winners of these opportunities will receive a Business Health Check and formulation of a customised Financial Roadmap to further their business development.

Entrants for the Medium Business of the Year Award will also be in the running to win a Human Resources package from CQHR.

The package includes installation of a HR Coach Staff System and a mini HR Audit for their business.

Information Sessions

Information Sessions for the 2010 Business Excellence Awards are being held in Rockhampton and Yeppoon through July and August.

These sessions will help you to better understand the submission process for the Awards and answer any questions you might have.

The Rockhampton session will be on Monday 12 July from 10:30am-12noon. The Yeppoon session is scheduled for Thursday 5 August from 4:00pm.
